The Lunchbox Cafe is a quirky, down-to-earth place. It has a drive up window for ordering and pick up and a little, no frills, covered picnic area with potted flowers framing it. The food is delicious and they offer a wide variety of vegetarian options, such as the beet Ruben. I love their tuna salad sandwich, but the portion of tuna is very small. The service is slow, because there is typically only one person working. I'd love it if it was faster, but maybe we don't always need to be in a hurry?

What a sweet little spot this is. We loved everything about it! The food was absolutely fantastic, it was made with care, and the ingredients were fresh and healthy (the bread!). We each had a tuna sandwich (amazing!) and enjoyed our meal in the little outdoor dining spot - and we each got a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie "for the road," but that cookie didn't make it very far. Good vibes. Good food. Good people. Give it a try. You'll be glad you did!!

In the thunder and rain, we stumbled upon a cute bus house...First yelp review here. This place deserves it. Lived in Ellensburg for two years and only recently discovered this place. Seating is cute with string lights in an outdoor-ish room made out of what looked to be a bus, w/ beautiful tiny flowerbeds attached to it. Sandwiches were yum (made with bread from local bakery) 5/5 customer service, served us in the midst of a terrible thunderstorm. Thanks for the cover and wonderful, affordable sandwiches Lunchbox Cafe! :)

Very hearty and delicious! I came in here around 2:25pm on January 8 coming from Seattle. The lady (who seem to run the place) was very nice and the place felt cozy despite the freezing temperatures outside. There's a drive-thru option and another option where you can walk up the on the other side to sit down and eat at another shed looking place. The chickpea soup, which was the soup of the day, was seasoned well and very warm. It complimented the breakfast wrap that I had. The wrap was delicious! Overall, the atmosphere of being outdoors and the food was amazing! Food was simple and felt very healthy to eat.

I've been looking at coming to this place for quite some time, but it never worked out to jump over here during lunch hours. I finally had a chance to, and I see why people like it so much! They do sandwiches, soups and salads here, and I found out they do them very well. I was in a roughage mood and did a custom salad with turkey and egg. For A healthy sized salad with lots of targets to go out with a fork, with something like $10. They also had predetermined salads for between six and eight dollars. If the quality of my meal is any indication of how good their sandwiches are, I suspect the sandwiches are awesome! The place is very nondescript and just off of a road that flanks the downtown. It was super busy around lunchtime, so I was glad that I had called in and recommend you do as well! This is a great lunch spot you should check out!
